FYA-P Weir Type Diaphragms

With such a wide application for diaphragm valves, diaphragm materials must be capable of withstanding severe chemicals, elevated temperatures, abrasive media, and frequent operation. To address this variety of services, FYA-P has qualified one of the most extensive offering of diaphragms in the industry.

The qualification of a diaphragm involves a comprehensive testing of the most critical properties of the material, including, but not limited to flex life, thermal exposure, and pressure limitations. To ensure the best possible diaphragms, FYA-P maintains a continuing development program to evaluate new materials and improve existing compounds.

As a further QA measure, a representative sample from every production run is tested prior to release of that lot. Finally, to assist in indentifying information important to the user, every FYA-P diaphragm is coded with the grade, size, and date of manufacture on either the tabs or on the back of the diaphragm flange.

Elastomer Diaphragm

Thick, non-bonded face increases diaphragm flex life and ease of valve operation to increase production throughput.

◎   Stud Anchor
Holds diaphragm firmly to compressor for long life. Extra strength molding prevents diaphragm damage, to cut maintenance cost and time. Totally encapsulated during molding process ensures strength and maximum performance in difficult conditions.

◎   Molded Shape
Weir type design avoids stress when valve is open.

◎  Rubber pad
Distinctively shaped fixing for PTFE faced diaphragms to ensure correct installation especially valuable insurance on dangerous acids.
Reinforcing molded in layers of specially woven material to increase diaphragm strength for top flex performance up to a million or more operations.
